Curry Honda receives 13th President's Award

C
urry Honda's General Manager Dave
Girolamo knows that 13 is a very lucky
number for his award-winning dealership
in Yorktown Heights. Only four Honda dealers
out of 1,038 in the nation have won this
top award as many as 13 times. Customer
satisfaction as well as sales volume are key
elements in determining which dealerships receive
the honor, and Girolamo is thrilled about
the continued show of confidence and trust in
his accomplished staff.
"Our priorities are based on intensive
training and top-notch service because that's
what Honda wants, and that's what we've
been able to provide time and time again,"
says Girolamo, whose pride in his co-workers
is evident from the moment you meet him. "I
must tell you that we were recently awarded
the 2009 Honda Customer Service Excellence
Award, an honor we've received many times
before."

from Honda's President, an honor he has received five consecutive years.

According to Girolamo, no other Honda dealer
in the area even comes close to the distinction
of the Curry dealership. Five of his service
technicians are 100 percent Honda-Certified
and have Master Technician status: Lou
Alcantara, Chuck Buckes, Joe Ellsworth, John
Moran, and Jared Stoutenburg. "Customers
come and buy here because of our outstanding

Service department, they are a key asset to
our success" beams Girolamo, who has been
with Curry Honda since 1980, over 30 years,
and with the Curry organization for 39 of his

40 years in the automobile business.
Like Honda vehicles themselves, the
dealership's tenured sales staff just keeps
getting better and better. Known for its professional
manner, friendly guidance and courteous business sense,
it's clear the staff is in the business for long-term success,
not short-term gain. "Over the long haul, that's what sustains
us in tough economic times," reveals Girolamo.
"When you have a customer base of 26,000
people, you must be doing something right."
Employees who have been part of Curry
Honda's team for more than 30 years are:
Harvey Wengrofsky (sales), Michael J.
Ellsworth (service director), and James J.
Ferrara (service manager). Over 20 years are:
David J. Morley (body shop), Michael J. Conklin,
Bill Fahringer, and Mike Sorrell (sales),
Brian A. Bartosh, John Moran, and Joe
Ellsworth (service).
"We are the only Honda dealership with an
on-premises body shop," explains Girolamo.
"Manager David Beska and Karen Butters have
been with us for 18 years - they're terrific
people and run a great, customer-oriented
shop. They make it easy for our customers.
"In order to receive the Honda President's
Award, you must have a 100 percent validated
EXCELL Program. Georgia Vallen is our
dealership's Coordinator, and she has done a
fine job of guiding us through the processes
and procedures. The same can be said
about Parts Manager Brian McLenithan...a real
professional," said Girolamo.
When asked about his winning formula for
Curry Honda's winning streak, Girolamo says:
"My 94 employees really take their jobs to
heart, and it's not something I have to push.
They are receptive and open to our customers,
and completely tuned in to their care."
Curry Honda's customers say that not only
will you find a better deal here, but you will
be treated as a member of the Curry family.
It's why so many from Yorktown, Peekskill,
Cortlandt, Ossining and all over Westchester,
Rockland and Putnam come to choose from
the largest inventories of new cars, pre-owned
cars, or trucks. Many customers deal personally
with General Sales Manager Mark Finch,
and Sales Managers Steve Patrikios, Franco
Iamiceli, Ken Orsini, and Toni DiMassimo.
The spotless showroom is airy and elegant,
the Service department features two Quick-
Service bays, there's a well-stocked Customer
Center, and the dealership is open for service
and parts all day on Saturdays. Also, there
are qualified staffers who help customers get
financing quickly, so they can go about their
busy schedule with a strong, versatile vehicle.
You could say that 2009 was a very good
year for Curry Honda. And, 2010 is following
in its tracks and poised for position, with the
goal of yet another Honda President's Award
squarely in sight! Located at 3845 Crompond
